How do you want to play?
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you play Football Tic-Tac-Toe?
Clubs run along the top and down the left of a 3×3 board. On your turn you pick a square and name a footballer who played for both of that square's clubs. Get it right and the square is yours. Three in a row — across, down or diagonally — wins.
Can I use the same player more than once?
Yes. The same name can be reused in different squares, as long as they match both clubs of that square.
What is steal mode?
You can switch it on when setting up the game. It gives each player 3 steals: take a square your opponent has claimed by naming a DIFFERENT footballer for it. It stops the board locking up early and keeps things tense to the end.
What happens if I answer wrong?
The turn passes to your opponent. You get 30 seconds per turn — if it runs out, the turn passes too.
