How do you play Football Wordle?
You try to guess today's mystery footballer's FIRST NAME (not surname). After each guess, letters turn color: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for the right letter in the wrong spot, gray for a letter that's not in the name at all.
Is the word length always the same?
No, the letter count changes every day — today's length is shown by how many tiles are on the board. That keeps every day's puzzle feeling different.
Which names count as valid guesses?
Only first names of players from the 6 top leagues (Süper Lig, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) are valid. Accented letters are simplified (Barış → BARIS).
How many guesses do I get?
You get 6 guesses, just like classic Wordle. You can also reveal one letter with the hint button — that doesn't use up a guess.
What if multiple players share the same first name?
Once you guess correctly, every player with that first name is shown with their photo — maybe the person you were picturing is one of them!
